Famous Ocean City athlete who lives in
Berlin Maryland makes a comeback.
Coming
on strong…
he likes his beer for breakfast…
and it hasn’t slowed him down a bit.
Slotted in the No. 10 ranking life has never been better.
Currently ranking first in Pennsylvania, second in Maryland,
and second in the Zone that includes an area Maryland, Virginia,
and North Carolina.
It hasn’t been easy, after 4 months of intravenous feeding and a
rail thin appearance… life is now good.
For a while, solid foods were difficult until the right combination
of beer, molasses, and sweet
potatoes
brought Ghost, back to the
National Junior Horse Hunters Show Jumping Circuit.
Trainer Bradley Caine at the Chestnut Ridge Farm sought
many combinations of diet before she came upon the present diet
that has nursed Ghost back to his current level of strength…
although still pale and thin, the horse’s prognosis is good.
Not only was diet an important part of Ghost’s recovery, but
constant care and love of his rider Brittany Martin. Brittany,
a 10th grader from Worcester Prep, has excelled in many regional
and national competitions.
The bond between many humans and their animals is strong, and
the love rider Brittany and trainer Caine have for Ghost is one
of the strongest… and Ghost knows it !!
No wonder Ghost does so well in competion.
