When it all started 38 years ago in 1975 it was originally called "Save Six for September," one of the Top 100 Events in America is now called Sunfest in Ocean City Maryland, is looked forwarded to by thousands. Sunfest is organized as a cooperative effort between business and city government in Ocean City Maryland to attract and celebrated one last blow out for locals and tourists in a fantastic carnival atmosphere.

40 Food vendors will present all those traditional "sea foods," from funnel cakes and curly fries to fried oyster sandwiches and crab specialties.

Also during the Sunfest in Ocean City Maryland is the splendid
Annual Sunfest Kite Festival will fill the air with a splash of color over the downtown beach. Sponsored by the Kite Loft, this annual world-class kite festival is in its 18th year. The Sunfest Kite Festival runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily on the beaches between Division and 6th streets.

Park & Ride to Sunfest
To get to Sunfest festival grounds with no stress, city officials urge everyone to use THE BUS. The resort offers a ride-all-day fare which enables you to get on and off as often as you want for $3 a day. Also, satellite parking areas are available with Park 'N' Ride Shuttle Service.

-- Boardwalk Tram 27th Street - directly to the Sunfest grounds for only $3 per person one-way. The tram runs from 10 a.m. to midnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
