Crime on the high seas In Ocean City, Maryland.
PFC. Howard Caplan is investigating...
While no small fish.. the heist of approximately $3,500 worth of fish from a downtown business is not being taken lightly by the Ocean City, Maryland police department.
It appears last week that a robbery occurred bayside from the Sinepuxent Bay at the Talbot Street Pier somewhere between 8p.m. and 10p.m. Monday.
The Great Ocean City Minnow Heist goes yet unresolved.
Four large pens of minnows were swiped, including the pens. The pens were
tied to a pier, contained 20 gallons of minnow, valued at $300, and,
2,500 Spot Fish worth $1,250. Skip's Bait and Tackle, the owners, of the little
fish stolen and the 4x4x6 pens worth $2,000 is not taking this lightly.
An undisclosed source is quoted as saying,
"We are not taking this lightly. These are small fish, and we fear for their lives."
Another undisclosed source is quoted as saying.....
"This is not small potatoes.. I mean these are small fish.
...this is serious crime. We are not small fish.. I mean…
.....We have a small police department, but....
........Aww shut-up.. you know what I mean."
We do not believe this to be the work of terrorists.
Investigation is ongoing.
